WORKERS SUNDAY
THEME:
THE SUPERIOR WORKER

FAITHFULNESS
Firstly, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.(Heb.11) now being faithful is being loyal to the things of God. As children of God, we ought to be faithful in our service to God. God needs to look at us and see faithfulness.
As children of God, being loyal to the things of God is required of u, In our daily lives, in our studies and in everything we do.
Our faithfulness in doing the things of God we speak for us. There is a reward for us when we are faithful to God.
In all, we should be faithful and diligent in our service to God, and we should do the things with a burning desire.

               MY CHRISTIAN LIFE
Man’s spirit can be educated and informed through what he reads, see, or hear, as a Christian, we need to feed our mind with positive things because man is a result of what he thinks.
            As a Christian. We need to live a spiritual life and for us to live this spiritual life, we need to feed our minds with the right things, and how can we feed this mind? We feed it through;

Meditating on the word of God.
            Reading the word of God.
           Thinking positively.
In Galatians 5vs 16-25,we can see the difference between the spiritual and physical nature and exhibit also what the spiritual nature exhibit which are love, joy , peace, patience, kindness, goodness, humility, faithfulness and self control. when you live a spiritual and not human nature, you fellowship more with the holy spirit which you become intimate with him and you start exhibiting the personality of Christ, you will even know things or be informed about things even before they happen.
In this world today, we need to be spiritual because it is only the spiritual that can live up to the expectations of God.
QUESTIONS ON THE HOLY SPIRIT
HOW DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAD TO THE TRUTH?
Ans; The Holy Spirit leads us to the truth in different ways, it might be through a revelation being one of the personality of the Holy Spirit or through personal conviction (John 16vs 13)
The Holy Spirit also leads to the truth through the impactation of wisdom and understanding on us (Isaiah 11vs 2).
WHAT HINDERS THE HOLY SPIRIT FROM WORKING IN OUR LIVES?
Ans; As human beings we possess various features that hinders the Holy Spirit from working in our lives some of which are;
           - Unrepentance from sin
           -Lack of Faith
          - Not surrendering completely to God
            - Lack of desire and passion for it.
IN WHAT WAY HAVE OR DO ONE WITNESS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
Ans; Apart from the Holy Spirit being our comforter, the Holy Spirit serves as a road map, that leads to the right path where one can obtain favor from God. The Holy Spirit can also serve as a helper, teacher and director when you want him so far as you are ready for Him, he will be glad to come into your heart.

 GVMVC DAY 2014
THEME:                TO REVEAL THE GLORIOUS HONOR OF HIS MAJESTY
TEXT:     PSALM 149:145, 5:147
To reveal the glorious honor of His majesty, what does it mean? It means to make open, to show forth something that has been kept away from the world but has made known to some people who are to reveal it to the world. To reveal means to bring out. In this very context, it is God whom we are to reveal to the world, that is our mandate as Christians. This “Glorious Honor” how can it be revealed? It does not need to misfit containers or vessels, it needs a vessel which has been built, constructed and designed to contain Him first before revealing it to the world. God does not need vessels who are not ready, but does who will follow Him to the end. As Christians we need to be vessels to be used to fulfill God’s purpose on earth.
God is searching for men and women whom He can wash clean and make use of.
In being a part of this, you must first be born again, you must accept Christ into your heart, then let Him lead you. Your life is a living sacrifice unto God, you must surrender yourself totally to God. In journeying with God, you no longer have a will, you are dead to yourself, God is now your master, where ever He tells you to go that is where you will go. In life God is in charge because He controls everything, both what we can see and what we don’t see.
Thus in revealing the Glorious honor of His Majesty there is an acceptable way or manner through which its done. You don’t just do it in any way, search the scriptures, communicate with the Holy – Spirit and He will give you a clear direction.
WAYS IN WHICH GOD’S GLORIOUS HONOR OF HIS MAJESTY CAN BE REVEALED
ð  Through singing (Ministration)
ð  Through our praise and worship
ð  Through preaching the world of God to people (soul winning)
ð  Through our life style.
ð  By doing His will.

Revealing the Glorious honor of His Majesty
Text: Psalm 145:5, 6, 11, 12, 21, 149:1-6, Isaiah 43:57, Rev 4:11
“Reveal” means to show something that could not be seen. It also means making known to people what was hidden like a secret to no longer be a secret.
Glory comes from the Hebrew word for weight or heaumess. The idea behind it suggests substance and importance. For example, when Joseph finally revealed himself to his brothers in Egypt, he instructed them, “so you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and all of that you have seen, and you shall hurry and bring my father down here”. In other words he wanted his greatness, his privilege position, and exalted status and power to be reported to Jacob. What comes to your mind when you think of the glory of God? His excellence and perfection, His revelation of Himself in Jesus Christ. God’s glory is displayed in this ways. When the bible speaks of the glory of God it is referring to His worth and honor and greatness. We could also say that His majesty or supremacy is in view.
There are two ways to glorify or to give glory to something or someone. The first is by making that thing or person glorious, to impact or confer glory so as to make him or her glorious in ways that in otherwise would not be, God has done this in the way that He has created mankind.
“What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angel, and you have crowned him with glory and honor” (Psalm 8:4-5). God’s people can make His praise glorious.
“Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth sing out the honor of His name, make His praise glorious, say to God, “how awesome are your works, through the greatness of your power, your enemies shall submit themselves to you” ( Psalm 66:1-3).
The second way is by acknowledging, declaring and valuing the glory that is there. It is magnifying glory that is already possessed. This is what the heavens do. They “declare the glory of the Lord”  (Psalm 19:1).
This is what we are called to do when the scripture admonishes us to glorify God.

YOU ARE TOO MUCH
God u too much (3x)
You too good too me
(AYE)
Elu, ele, elu, elu ooooo
Bulie Jesus elu
Elu oooooooooo

Masoyina, I am grateful Nagode

Message behind ministration
In this message, we are meant to understand that God has been good to us in the good times and bad times and He still remains good. We must be grateful to God in everything we do. We must always learn to see the good things God has done for us and thank Him for it. I end this message by saying that no matter what we are facing or passing through God still remains a good and faithful God.

Withholding Nothing
I surrender all to you
Everything I give to you
Withholding nothing  (2x)
I will give you all of me (8x)
King Jesus my savior, forever
I will give you all of me (2x)
I will give you all of me (2x)
Withholding nothing (2x)
Message behind ministration
In this message, we are meant to undersatand  that when we surrender all to Him He takes care of us. The word of God made understand that we should present our body as a living and acceptable sacrifice to Him. It should be less of us and more of Him in us. We should learn to allow Jesus to ride on us and let Him drive us to our purpose. We should not withhold anything from Him, everything we should give unto Him. We should make our lives a home for God to stay and dwell in. we must understand that we do not have the power to take care of our life, only God does.
In conclusion make yourself nobody to God for Him to make you somebody…

Theme:              Revealing The Glorious Honor Of His Majesty

The entire essence of man’s being is to reveal the awesome glory of God. The bible says in Heb 1:3 that Jesus is the express image of the father. 1John 4:17b on the other hand says “as He is, so are we in this world”. Jesus started something here on earth and gave us the abilities, the power and the Holy Spirit and to continue from where He stopped and even do greater. What Jesus constantly did was to show the glory of God. Jesus told Philip in John 14:9 “if you, have seen me, you have seen the father”. That should be the state of everyone who possesses Jesus as Lord and personal savior and believers in the heart. Therefore my life should be an expression of the beauty of God, the splendor, the love of God, His mercy and His unending kindness.
The life a Christian live paints the picture his neighbor has of God (Matt 5:16) let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven. Your light brings glory to God, the good things that come out of your relationship with God makes the perception someone else has of God more beautiful.
As Christians, as believers, who are in a relationship, and not a religion, we must break free of whatever that holds us back and walk into the life where we shine just like God, talk just like God, think like Him and show His glory in all our affairs.
BE FILLED WITH THE GLORY!!!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
A hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. Don’t be afraid to have dream and always believe in miracles.
FORSAKING ALL
by
Odor Ogechi

Forsaking all and following is seen as leaving your old life, letting go of those things that don’t please God, all those things that hinder the presence of God in your life and following Christ, allowing the spirit of God to take charge of you, take control in all you are doing. Like in the synoptic gospel, when Jesus was choosing his disciples, if you understand the passage of the Bible you will see that his disciples were fishing to earn a living, but when Jesus came hr told them “follow me and I will make you fishers of men”. They forsook all they were doing to follow Christ and the spirit of Christ was upon them, they ministered to souls.
Let us work in the way of the Spirit, so that we can function in all dimensions of the spirit, speak in tongues, prophecy, heal the sick, raise the dead etc. All these can only be achieved if we forsake the things of the world and follow Christ, let’s work according to the principles of 2Tim 2:19 and be sealed with the Holy – Spirit.
FORSAKING ALL
by
Onumah.U. Ezinne.

ð  Forsaking all is all about you taking your cross to follow Jesus. It means dropping something of old for something new.
ð  Forsaking all means letting go of those things that are not consistent with the plans of God for your life.
ð  Forsaking all is about a life of sacrifice, being devoted to things of God and shunning canal or earthly desires.
ð  Leaving everything that will not glorify God. Forsaking all is about having a new life in Christ.
ð  It is allowing the government of the kingdom of God to find expression in your life.
The kingdom of God cannot find expression in your life until you follow HIM.

USHERING DEPARTMENT
by
Grace Ukonu

A department with a difference, our motto is loyalty leads to royalty. Ushering department is the ministry of help, our work goes way beyond sharing envelope, collecting offering etc. We are a department that is in charge of helping the minister, the elders and the church at large.
Today our theme is “Forsaking all and Following Him” from the book of Luke 5:11, basically the theme means belonging to the government of the kingdom of God, for you to belong to a government you have to accept the governance of the government and that is how we are able to forsake all and follow HIM. As you attend today’s service, look beyond the drama and clothes decide that you are going to belong to the government of the kingdom of God.
May God bless you.
FORSAKING ALL AND FOLLOWING HIM
by
Eghrefuvwoma Grace.

When we talk of forsaking all and following Him, it means when a person i.e a Christian decides to leave everything that is in conformity with the flesh, leaving your past sinful and evil ways and resolving in your mind, heart, spirit, soul and body to follow Jesus, to do the will of the father in heaven.
It also means forgetting about everything that brings pleasure and dedicating your life to the expression of righteousness of the kingdom of Heaven,
By forsaking all and following Jesus there has to be a change in you, both spiritually and physically, in every area of your life so that when people see you they will know without being told that you are really a true follower of Christ. Just as the disciples forsook all they had in Luke 5:1-11, which made them do exploits in the bible when Jesus sent them away on an assignment, so also should we Christians forsake every sinful desire of the flesh, bad companies and even the friends we keep, the conversations we involve ourselves in and do the will of God which is spreading the good news around to all people, living a holy life, righteous and compassionate life so that heaven will be ours at last.

FORSAKING ALL AND FOLLOWING CHRIST

GET OUT OF THE CIRCLE NOW
ð  Getting out of the circle was a regular secret of the life of Jesus Christ (Mk 1:35).
If you must make an impact in life and ministry this year you must plan regular time to get out from your friends, malice, gossip, lies so as to enable you keep your glory and anointing fresh!
ð  We also saw how Jesus and Paul used that explosive key to win in life. Luke 10:38-42 narrates the story of Mary and Martha when the word (JESUS) came to visit them.
Martha was distracted with much serving and said to Jesus “Lord do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Many of us are like Martha – crowded with activities non – stop! That must stop this year, because Jesus told Martha “But one thing is needful and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not been taken away from her.
“That means: the one important thing in life is to stay regularly with the word in prayer.

ð  Once you can do that this year, other pursuits of life will start pursuing you!
ð  Mathew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you.
In the same view Jesus told peter to let go of his net and follow Him, he was not just a fisher who had made fishes in his net but also a fisher of men. Your daily hustle and bustle and running up and down is not the needed thing.
ð  Note that Jacob stole the birthright from Esau and ran to Laban. In Laban’s house he became very rich because he outplayed Laban again. He was prosperous through his brain, and his name was still Jacob.
ð  But until he forsook in Genesis 32:24-29, then he had his name changed from Jacob to Israel! So you see that it I not your activities that will change your status this year, its only when your life has been affected in the secret it will then show in the physical. Apply this principle and OH! What a rain of glory and grace you will see.
“FORSAKE ALL AND FOLLOW CHRIST”
Success by the supernatural.
By
Akachukwu Ebere
How do you live and die great? How does a person experience good issues in perpetuity? It is by drawing upon the supernatural for good success. How does a man do this? The first thing to do is to know God, the author of success.
The first step is to know who you are as a human being. The scripture confirms that man is the epitome of God’s creation (Gen 1:27).
The second step to knowing God is to confess your weakness, short comings, failures, and misdemeanors to God. After this, repent whole heartedly and accept God’s salvation.
Having God is crucial in your bid to experience good success. When a man’s way pleases God, the almighty  will cause even his enemies to be at peace with him. Fellowship with God properly and it will produce great results. As a Christian, who wishes to experience good success always, you should give thanks always. Let your thanksgiving outweigh your request.
Thank God for whom He is, what He has done, who you are, what you have and for what you will have. Proverbs 4:16, Isaiah 1:18-19.
