THE PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP OF MADONNA (PFM)

Our Lord Jesus was not joking when He said that when two or more are gathered in His name He is there with them. I don’t know about your local churches, but I know there is a God in PFM. An association of gathering of God’s people, a coming together of ordinary persons made extraordinary by the out pouring of God’s spirit. Because He stated that we are rock and upon each and everyone of us He will build His church and all the power of hell cannot conquer it.

This is the 14^th birthday of PFM and all through the years God has show Himself mighty and strong through us

This He has done by manifesting His awesome power through the various departments in church. Anyways I may go on and on and extrol the virtues of this humble association but you may never get to affirm the above when you experience it till then.

PFM’S MARRIAGE WITH GOD

The PFM as body, consisting of all the churches of different denominations of Pentecostal fellowships all over Nigeria has engaged itself as a partner with God, and this engagement may have resulted to a marriage which is 14years and still counting.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Madonna (PFM) in its marriage has fulfilled all its marital rights by being faithful, always trusting in God, always listening, and though it has its up and down, temptations and trials, its being victorious and ever conquering.

PFM’s marriage has had several offspring with great units that have several children. Its testimonies are enormous, its blessings are numerous and a piece of article cannot contain what God has done for PFM but I tell you, its 14yrs years of marriage can testify to what God has, is, and will do for this great partner/spouse f His

This marriage wouldn’t have been possible without the Elders, Pastors, Leaders, and Assistant Leaders, as well as the congregation’s i.e you and I, coupled with the love we share in this great fellowship.

MESSAGE BEHIND THE MINISTRATION

The word of God made us to understand in the book of Heb 13:8 which say that God is the same today, yesterday and forever.

And this word of God also made us to understand in the book of Exodus 15:18 which said “that the Lord shall reign forever and ever.”

So I end this message to say that when we allow God to reign in our life, family, spiritual life and academics, everything we are going to do will be well.

 

HIGHER PLACES WITH GOD

Psalm 40:2-3

“He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God: many shall see it, and fear and shall trust in the Lord.”

A place has to do with geography and location whether it is spiritually or physically. Places have to do with what surrounds you. Where you are located affects you, whether it is the physical whether or financial conditions due to economic conditions. Places or geography plays a major part I your success. Look at your neighbor and say “are you willing to go to another place?” God will not bless you just anywhere you go, God will bless you however, if you are willing to go where He leads as to higher places in Him.

            God is inviting you through His piece to a higher place. God is sending you an official invitation today. Paul said in Phil 3:14 “ I press toward the mark of the higher calling of God in Christ Jesus”. In other words, Paul said I fervently strive to relentlessly seek a higher place in God regardless of the opposition.

            Listen, if you are satisfied with just being saved, this message is not for you. But if you want more of God, more of His love, more of His spirit, more of His blessing, more of His abundance, and more of His supernatural power, then this message is for you! You are affected by the place where you reside therefore where you are just as important as what you are. In other words where you are determines what goes within you.

DON’T QUENCH THE FIRE

Christianity is not just a race but a journey into righteousness. When we give our lives to Christ we become born again by the fire of the Holy – Spirit. We become spiritually connected to the father then suddenly that fire begins to wax cold.

This is a question that we should ponder in our hearts. Is you fire still burning or waxing cold? The passion you had when you gave your life to Christ is it still there?  Are you still connected to God or you have lost the connection? Are you acknowledging you sins daily or you have fine tuned them that to you they are no longer sins? Have you decided to continue living in sin that grace may abound, but I say GOD FORBID!

Now we know that heaven is a personal race but winning souls to God gives you a greater crown in heaven Prov 11:30 “He that winneth souls is wise”.

Without God you cannot do a thing. He traded your sorrow for joy, poverty for riches, failure for success, and sickness for health on the cross of Calvary and exchanged ashes for beauty so you may have life in abundance.

Without knowing the person of God and working in His kingdom, you are not entitled to the heavenly blessing that only those that are called the sons of God inherit. You total life will continue to be a fruitless journey if you don’t ask God for guidance and the manual of your life. You will continually be limited to a pace because you refuse to seek which can only be achieved by the help of the Holy – Spirit. Remember 2Corinthians 12:9 says “my grace is sufficient for thee and my strength is made perfect in thy weakness.”  

DON’T STOP NEVER GIVE UP TILL YOU WIN THE PRICE.

 

IMITATION IS LIMITATION

Imitation according to the easy English Learners dictionary means to copy, imitation means stopping a thing from making progress.

I know that we were all created in the image and likeness of God therefore we are different. Most people have this notion of looking up to others and copying what they do in the name of “Role Models” or “Mentors” forgetting that you can’t rise above the person or people you are copying or envying; you must dare to be different by discovering who God want you to be.

Psalm 139:14 makes me understand that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, we are full of wonders waiting to be discovered. Opportunity doesn’t come but once, everyday is an opportunity for a new discovery. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and of a sound mind. We need to have a mind of Christ because when we do we won’t be scared of risk or failures because they are just stepping stones to greatness.

Remember, stop imitating anybody because you are loaded, special and uncommon

OVERCOMING BAD HABITS

What is a habit? A habit is something you regularly or usually do without even having to think about it because you’ve done it many times before.

            The bible say’s in Hebrew 12:21- Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. So when you have a bad habit, you do not just wake up and make a resolution to never do it again. No! Instead, you new good habits that will take the time, thought, effort, attention and probably money that you’ve been giving to the bad habit. You having only one mind, only one brain, one spirit, one body. Good and bad habits cannot stay in one mind or one body at the same time. “The stronger one always pushes out the other. Gal 55:17a says: the flesh lusted against the spirit, and the spirit against flesh: and these are contrary one to the other”. This means that the spirit does not even agree with the flesh. Good habit can connect to the spirit, bad habits cannot. Why? “They are connected to the flesh and Roman 8:8 says so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

            Now the good news is, you choose which will be the stronger force; the bad or good habits, the spirit or flesh. You choose which one outweighs the other, give more time, energy, and effort to your good habit, they will become stronger than the bad because you are not giving the bad any attention or long and hard thought. The Bible say in Gal 6:7: Be not deceived, God cannot be mocked, for what so ever a man soweth, that shall he reap. Vs 8 –For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. This means that the one I sow to, the one I worry about, move, talk about, move and think about more becomes the stronger force than the one I starve. I saw a quote that says” FEED YOUR FAITH, YOUR FEAR WILL STARVE TO DEATH” . I rephrase, feed your good habits, your bad habits will starve, lose strength and eventually die. So think of your own habits that you could replace with new ones. Want to stop listening to secular music? Start by listening to more gospel music. Want to stop sleeping too much? Start sleeping early, make it a habit. Galatians 5:6 says walk in the spirit and ye shall fulfill the lust of the flesh.

            BAD HABITS: Fleshly lusts sinful nature

            GOOD HABITS: God’s will through the spirit.

            Focus on forming good habit rather than un- ending bad habits. Hebrew 12:2: “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”. What I give more time to, will give me better results. Overcome your bad habits today-from new good habits with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Do you know why a lot of Christians fail to actualize or live their purpose? Just one word, SELFISHNESS. They are saved but self - centered.

It is high time we realized that life is not about us but God .Were made by God and for God and until we understand that life will never make sense (col 1:16) we don’t use God for our purpose ,we let him use us for his purpose .God placed  us here for a reason, and one important reason is that he wants you to invest in the lives of others by carrying out the great commission(mark 16:15).

           Now let us take a look at acts 1:8 “but ye shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the Earth.

          Therefore instead of waking up every morning and thinking of your own needs, blessings, happiness, comfortability, and looking up to God for personal fulfillment, wake up expecting God to work through you and affect the lives of others positively.

                                                                                                         

    

JOY IN LIBERTY

Jesus is the lord of our life, he reigns forever and his mercies endure forever. In his presence there is fullness of joy and liberty. And it is this joy(of  the lord) and liberty(in Christ Jesus) that  releases to do exploits for him. For he said that greater things that he did shall we do Jn 14:12.

            I imagine a life of joy and peace, knowing that our sins have been forgiven and that God is no longer imputing our sins against us and has set us free. Col 2:13-14. What a life?!!!!!!!!!!!Of freedom and liberty to love without limitation 1peter 2:16. To serve God with all our hearts, body, soul and mind. Eph 6:7-8.

            I am glad for I am full of joy in Christ Jesus and it makes me strong Neh 8:10, and in his liberty can I never stop paying the debt of love .Rom 13:8, Gal 5:13.

           Good morning PFM dis na tatafoo korna as usual, how una dey today? I hope sey  una sleep well. As  for me I sleep well wake up self, I happy wake up remember today  na PFM bday. Hmm just like play PFM omomo of yesterday don grow finish o. Though I been no dey wen e begin crawl but I hapi say I dey part of am today.

              As of last week hmm…………..nothing plenty happen only say ‘sister’ no gree sign exeat  and dat one kill people spirit no be small but we still thank God say as of Friday, she still sign for some people on Thursday  evening ‘chancellor’ ball in school. The entry alone make afraid grab me sake of say person  wey drive am use vex ball in but as of Friday evening gist don plenty say some people wan ‘burn’ abi na bomb Emmanuel hall. My people me I no know the true gist but my question  na wetin make them wan bomb the hall? Shey money been dey involved? Even if money dey the lives nkor abi them think say na fowl dey dis place? Abeg make these people try catch head bcos of God abeg.

             As of Saturday, the sack race take place so today we go know the department wey win the competition. During the week elder Kay, pastor Abiodun, and elder kasie add anoda year We 4rm dis area dey wish dem more fruitful years ahead. October babies use style style plenty no be small and we thank God for their lives.

This Sunday we believe say this service go splufic no be small enuf ulute and navy movement from here we dey wish PFM HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY MORE FRUITFUL YEARS. GOD IS LOVE.

            Our Lord Jesus Christ made us in a very unique and special way; no one was born the same. Most people especially the youth engage themselves in what others are doing. The youth are becoming very much attracted to the things that are very rampant without minding the negative outcomes of such approaches.

            We should not be deceived by what the world is doing and key on the part God wants from us. He who wants to be moved to the higher ground should follow the right track which God has placed for each and every one of us.

                                                                                                          

LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE!!!

            People get to use me every day but not everybody but not everybody understands and knows who I am. Anyway I would not tell you who I am but from this illustration, you would understand and you will define me yourselves.

            Jonah 4:1-end and 1 Corinthians 13:1-end all deal on the concept of love. If we consider Jonah 4, we will see the meaning of love and by virtue of 1 Cor. 13, love is kind, bears all things, and so on. Just the way God takes all our rubbish and weaknesses, but still sees us with the hope of becoming better persons, we should learn to love and see people through the eyes of God because God is Love.

            We can’t create, yet we destroy and condemn what God made Him in His image and likeness. Why don’t we endeavor to love God through people for,

. . . . . . . I am kind

. . . . . . . I bear all things

. . . . . . . I believe all things.

I pray you learn to do the same for others. . .

                                                           

                       

THE END TIME

First of all, the end time doesn’t just happen; the end time is a period of time. The END TIME can also be called “The Last Days”. The Bible said so many thing about the end time; kingdom against kingdom, mother against son and father against daughter. And the Bible said when all these things started happening, the end is near.

            Luke 17:22-24, it explains that on the last days, that is, the end time, many people will arise calling themselves pastors, prophets, even sons of God. But looking in our society today, we find out that those things have started happening, so in that case, the end time has come. Everything the Bible talked about has started happening so there is no time again to waste or rather waiting for the end time to come. If life is a football match, we are done with the first and second half and we are now in the extra time. . . . . . . . .

GIFT FOR YEAR: FRUIT FOR YEAR AFTER

            The words: “gifts and fruits are not new to us humans but as a person beyond the natural, that is, supernatural or Christ-like upon, both gifts and fruits are not to be looked down upon, rather strive to desire to have both the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

            Truthfully speaking, having the gift and fruit of the Spirit is not a physical thing but a Spiritual thing as Romans 8:5-11 says that salvation is not a physical affair but that of the Spirit, therefore the necessity for a supernatural being to possess the fruits and gifts of the Spirit cannot be over emphasized because it is mostly the gifts that are needed on earth (year), while the fruit for the year after (Heaven). The two critical elements needed by a spiritual being to make Heaven is the “Gift” and the “Fruit”.

            Furthermore, speaking about the gifts which can be found in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, and which is given by God to His children is for helping man’s ministry on earth like that of healing which can be seen in the lives of Paul and Peter and also the unknown language which is to edify the man. And the place of fruit which can be seen in Galatians 5:22-23 which also becomes the characters of man and it’s your character as a supernatural being that takes you to Heaven.

            Finally, God does not need only your actions on earth but He also wants to see your “character and acts” towards others to others to know if you are truly a bona fide candidate for Heaven.

                                                                                                           

A CHANGE OF SEASON

            Under the Old Testament, there were only three offices that had the anointing of the Holy Spirit. These offices were: The office of the King, the office of the Prophet and the office of the Priest. If you weren’t in any of these offices, you weren’t permitted to speak words of power that would prevail upon life’s situations. So the children of Israel had to depend on the Anointing on these men to move ahead.

            However, things are different in the New Testament. Anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ can receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit which will change his world totally and make him rule, dominate and command authorities. Also, there is a new dimension, a new realm the Spirit of God is taking us to;  A higher ground, a change of levels, season and a new entirely.

        In Psalm 90:4 the Bible says that: “For a thousand years in thy sight are as yesterday when it is past and like a watch in the night”. This means that God can do for you in one day what it would take men a thousand years to accomplish. This is that season whereby you experience a turnaround in all that concerns you for He says he will make all things work together for your good. It’s a season whereby you command things and it comes to pass in your life, academics, family, relationships, and all that concerns you. And because of the Holy Ghost working in your life, He is leading you into an entirely new realm of possibilities whereby He will bring to life every lost or dead situations in which all hope seems to have been lost.

            So Generals, I urge you to trust in God and believe in the power of His Grace upon your life, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what you could ever think or imagine. He is able to do things in your life this season that you won’t be able to figure out how it happened because it’s your season of explosive Miracles!!!
