THE REFRESHING DRINK Matt.5:6, Jn.7:37-38, Is.55:1.
It is highly rewarding to have passion for spiritual things.
God is ready to fill His children's cup to overflowing. But, the problem is
that a lot of people are not ready to receive what God wants to offer. The
greatest problem among believers today is spiritual dryness. Revival comes when
God's people are ready to go to the fountain of living water. Any serious
Christian must have at least one or two days in a week for fasting and praying.
The reason why you need to do this is to charge your batteries and get your cup
filled over and over again. The enemies cannot catch you unawares, when you
keep charging your batteries.
No matter how intelligent a person is, it would be very
difficult for the person to switch on his torchlight in the dark, if the
batteries are dead. If the batteries inside your touch light are rusted and
old, although you may have a new bulb, you will still have some problems of
lighting the touchlight, because of the absence of the power which comes from
that batteries that is needed to run the bulb.
From the scriptures we have read, we were shown the key to
spiritual refreshment. The Bible says that, in the last days, men shall be
lovers of themselves and would love pleasures more than God. It also said that
there would be an uproar and evil men shall wax stronger. So as believers we
cannot afford to sit down and be rejoicing about what happened yesterday or
what happened last year or about how we prophesied in the past. We must continually
charge our batteries and be on fire spiritually and on continuous basis.
Today's message comes up with a singular
challenge:"Will you Come and drink?"
